Black Desert Online Rare Treasures - Archaeologist's Map

Continuing our Black Desert Online Rare Treasures Series, please consider the Archaeologist's Map!

Archaeologist’s Map (#archaeologistsmap) is a very rare treasure to collect in #BlackDesert. It requires you to grind monsters to collect 4 rare items to craft it and can take hundreds if not thousands of hours to acquire all three pieces so just be aware that this is not something you should expect to get quickly if you do decide to go for it. It’s also recommended to use Item Drop increase buffs as much as possible to increase your chances and try to make the grind a little faster.

The Archaeologist’s Map allows you to teleport to any town and back to your location. Simply right-click the item to use it.

  • You can only return back to your original location within 30 minutes from teleporting to town

  • You cannot teleport back to your original location if you leave the town you teleported to

  • Cannot be used during a node war or siege

  • Cannot be used during Red Battlefield or if you are in jail

  • The map has a cooldown of 6 hours

The Archaeologist’s Map requires the following items to create it:

Archaeologist’s Map Piece (Grinding monsters at Roud Sulfur Mine)

Archaeologist’s Map Piece (Grinding monsters at Roud Sulfur Mine)

Archaeologist’s Map Piece (Grinding monsters at Pila Ku Jail)

Archaeologist’s Map Piece (Grinding monsters at Pila Ku Jail)

Blood Ruby (craft using processing or buy from the central market)

Ocean Sapphire (craft using processing or buy from the central market)

Gold Topaz (craft using processing or buy from the central market)

Forest Emerald (craft using processing or buy from the central market)

How to identify the pieces

When the parts drop, they all have the exact same name and icon: Map of Unknown Piece This can be frustrating because in each grind spot, two different pieces can drop and you won’t know which one you have unless you check your system chat to see which mob it dropped from. You can identify the parts by taking them to the Caphras’ Journal at the Caphras Cave node near Florin.

Check the video below from #ImChoice for a detailed guide on where to grind and how to obtain the components for this rare treasure.
